RESORT 14 : Trend Report
The Resort Collection of 2014 is utterly awe-inspiring. Time after time, collection after collection, our fashion wish lists are effortlessly filled. This Resort Collection sees a combination of androgynous styles, bold prints, fluid silhouettes, sculptured garments and signature black and white pieces.
Acne Resort 14 has seen a shift from previous seasons. From heavy leathers and dark boxy tailoring, the line has moved into more fluid silhouettes in unusual shades of sunny tangerine and silver ivory. The collection also features oversize slouchy cotton jackets and industrious pockets, styled with hats.
The Ellery Resort 14 collection consists of beautiful tailoring, cropped pants and oriental inspired prints. The collection has a Japanese influence with kimono references and was styled with modernized Geta sandals.
Since the launch of his eponymous label in 2004, Josh Goot has continued showcasing strong silhouettes perfectly offset with digital prints, clean, crisp lines and bold colour blocking. Drawing inspiration from the jungle, Goot delivers garments with futuristic, hyperreal and almost distorted jungle prints. There are two main elements to the collection: the art and the garment design.
The Zimmermann Resort 14 collection, Good Love, was showcased in New York on the 13th of June. The collection featured a series of spots, lace, filmy frocks, high waisted bombshell bathers and signature bright prints. The combination of colour and shape creates a structural architecture around the body with interlocking segments
